- Plans for next releases
Conclusions
This session, “Maximo Emission Tracking,” delivered by Mats Gothe and Russell Bee at Maximo World 2024, introduces new emission management capabilities in Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.0. The enhancements, delivered with Maximo HSE Manager, Maximo Oil and Gas, and the Maximo Manage base product, aim to improve support for operational teams in managing a diverse range of emissions, including CO2 equivalents, continuous emissions, and fugitive emissions. These capabilities are designed to help energy-intensive organizations maintain operational compliance, manage unplanned emissions, reduce long-term emission impacts, and leverage existing asset management investments.
Key features include sensor- and inspection-based emission tracking, incident management for fugitive emissions, and comprehensive emission management dashboards for monitoring and corrective actions. MAS 9.0 introduces several new functionalities, such as detailed emission tracking on HSE Incident Events and Location Meters, an Emission Management Dashboard, and a modernized Formula application for complex CO2e asset attribute calculations. The session also explores various use cases, including environmental audits, regulatory compliance, and leak management.
Additionally, the integration of Maximo Manage with the Envizi ESG Suite for corporate ESG reporting is discussed, highlighting IBM’s solutions for comprehensive environmental and sustainability management.
Demonstration
Demonstration of the Maximo Emission Tracking capabilities was narrated by Jodi Rajaniemi, Senior UX Designer, IBM.
